The Golden Rule

Although our privacy policy contains specific details, we intend for it to based on the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” We would like others to treat us with respect and common sense, and not to invade our privacy or spy on us.

Our privacy policy currently applies in three areas. These are: our Mobile Apps, our Websites, and our Mailing List. Additional areas may present themselves in the future, and we may update this privacy policy. We will notify you of such changes by posting the new privacy policy at this site.

Personally Identifiable Information is information that can be used to identify or contact you. Usually, for us, that means your name and email address, although it could include additional information as well.

Apps

Collection of personal data by our apps is currently restricted to one circumstance. Our apps for kids attempt to limit their ability to access the internet unsupervised. In order to accomplish this, our apps may require the user to confirm their age before permitting access to websites or the sending of emails. This information is not stored, and must be re-entered each time the user wishes to perform one of these actions from within the app.

Websites

When you visit one of our websites, we may collect information from your browser, or some other organization (such as Google) may collect it for us. This information may include, but is not limited to, your computer’s IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our sites that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other similar statistics. We may use browser cookies. You can always change your browser preferences to refuse cookies, but this may impact the website’s functionality.

Mailing List

We maintain a mailing list which we use to inform subscribers of news at our company including product releases and updates. Our list is opt-in. If you contact us regarding some other matter, we may ask you if you are interested in our list, but we will not automatically add you. Any subscriber may remove themselves from the list by sending an email from the subscribed address with an unsubscribe request. We do not sell our mailing list to other organizations for their marketing use.

Although we treat personal information with respect, and use common sense measures to protect it, the possibility always exists that an unauthorized party may somehow gain access to it. Also, if a court orders, or a law requires, we will release personal information as required by that order or law.
